School Social Work Services

In order to help children and families regarding general issues or early identification our school participates our school participates in the Pilot Scheme on Social Work Service for Pre-primary Institutions. Since September 2019, our school has provided school social work services under the cooperation of Chinese Rhenish Church Hong Kong. The following part shows a brief introduction to the services.

Scope of services includes:

  • Providing children in need and their families with individual counselling, referral for family welfare services and home visit services;
  • Providing children in need with emotion counselling through play therapy to build their self-esteem and confidence;
  • Promoting emotion education in the school that helps students recognize and manage emotions in order to build their healthy social interactions;
  • Holding various activities for parents to enhance mutual support on parenting and strengthen the relationship between families, parents and children.

On-site Pre-school Rehabilitation Services

Apart from school social work services, our school has cooperated with Heep Hong Society since 2018 to provide “On-site Pre-school Rehabilitation Services”, including:

Support for Children

Provide on-site individual or group training for children with learning diversity in concert with professional therapies given by Heep Hong Society to deliver all-rounded training and counselling to children in need.

Support for Parents

Enhance the parenting skills and the parent-child relationship through professional consultation, workshops and seminars so as to help parents render appropriate assistance to their children.

Support for Teachers

Invite professions to deliver themed seminars providing teachers with consultation and demonstration, as well as suggestions on curriculum adaptation and classroom management, in pursuit of giving teachers effective strategies that facilitate children’s development and growth.
